“Ammany Yujeebul
Mustarra Izaada’aa wa yakshifussoo”
Or, who answers the distressed one
when he calls upon Him?
To cure any sickness or disease, recite
391 times:
“Ash Shaafee” (The
Healer)
The above is one of Allah (swt)’s
names. Names of Allah (swt) are recited to invoke Him (as duas) for
obtaining benefits. To keep away sickness and disease for good,
recite a great deal daily.
Also reciting three certain suras over
the ill person helps a lot. The three suras are:
- Surat Al-Ikhlaas (112)
- Surat Al-Falaq (113)
- Surat An-Naas (114)
Surat Al-Ikhlaas
Bismillahir Rahmanir
Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)
Qul huwallahu Ahad
(Say: Allah is One - the Eternal Being.)
Allahus Samad (Allah
is He Who is independent of all beings.)
Lam yalid walam yulad
(He begot none, nor was He begotten.)
Walam yakullahu kufuwan
ahad. (And none in the creation is equal to Him.)
Surat Al-Falaq
Bismillahir Rahmanir
Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)
Qul aoozo be rabbil
falaq (Say: I seek refuge in
the Lord of the dawn)
Min sharri ma khalaq
(From the evil of what He has
created)
Wamin sharri ghasiqin
iza waqab (And from the evil of
the utterly dark night when it comes)
Wamin sharri naffaasate
fee alauqad (And from the evil
of those who blow on knots)
Wamin sharri hasidin
iza hasad. (And from the evil
of the envious when he envies.)
Surat An-Naas
Bismillahir Rahmanir
Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)
Qul aootho be-rabbin
naas (Say: I seek refuge in the
Lord of men)
Malekin naas (The
King of men)
Illahin naas (The
god of men)
Min sharril was wasil
khannaas (From the evil of the
whisperings of the slinking (Shaitan))
Al-lazi yu-was-wisu fee
sudoorin naas (Who whispers
into the hearts of men)
Minal jinatti wan naas
(From among the jinn and the
men.)
A dear one’s illness is
the biggest test of our iman. Hopefully we all pass it with flying
colors.
